Learn how to make an easy origami bow tie with these easy to follow step by step instructions.
You'll need:
80gsm~120gsm Colored or pattern papers in Square size for Bow tie
250gsm Cardstocks for card
A pair of Scissors
Glue
Directions:
Starts with a piece of Square paper and follow the steps below.
Tips:
Choose a thin paper of not thicker than 120gsm for the Origami Bow tie so that it's easier to fold.
The size of the square depends on how big you want the bow tie to be. For e.g. using a 12x12cm square paper will result in two bow ties that are about 8.5x3.5cm. Using an 15x15cm square paper will result in two that measure 11.5x4cm. The paper in this tutorial is an 12x12cm square.
Pull the flaps gently and flatten the center so it can be glue onto a flat surface.
Give it a little more thoughts by selecting patterns that are closest match to your man's favorite shirt, tie or handkerchief. If you are unable to find the exact print or pattern, why not just draw and color it! Let your creative juice run wild by use any piece of plain paper to draw and color it!
You can use color markers or any coloring tools you have to paint the patterns directly onto the paper. Whether it's stripes, polka dots or plaids, the end results are even more thoughtful and personalized.
